Freezing rain and sleet could make for some hazardous traveling conditions early Thursday morning before changing over to plain rain. On average a glazing to 0.10 of ice expected. Be alert that some sidewalks and streets could be slippery first thing in the morning as temperatures hover around freezing. Allow for some extra time to get around and about early in the morning.
Freezing and sleet should begin between 2-3am with a changeover to regular rain by 8 or 9am. Rain will continue through the evening and will highly likely be heavy at times through the evening. 1.5-2 inches of rain in total is expected.
Freezing rain and Sleet should be ongoing in the pre-dawn hours and continue until 8am or 9am. A glazing of ice is possible on the sidewalks. In addition, road temperatures could briefly be below freezing allowing for a few slick spots. However, after 8am or 9am temperatures will rise above freezing minimizing any further impacts. A cold soaking rain along with breezes out of the east will continue through the evening before we dry up around midnight. Overall, this should be a minor event however check back in for any updates.
