The School Weather Information Service (SWIS) guides schools in their decisions during inclement weather by proving essential weather tools.
The SWIS is a recently established organization dedicated towards advancing the knowledge of our community's schools when it comes to inclement weather. What The Schools Gain
The schools will be given detailed but clear forecasts, outlining when the storm will start and stop and what hazards the schools will have to face, among other information.
In addition, forecasters at The SWIS will be available to discuss the forecast by phone call or live chat online, to clarify specifics and discuss finer details.
On top of that, The SWIS will send alerts to school administrators before days of inclement weather, giving a heads-up to what is ahead.
For convenience, a current weather dashboard will be available to all administrators, displaying temperatures and other weather conditions outside.
